What's Happenin' @ Collision

Below is a brief summary of what we have been talking about recently.  Most of the time we teach through a series for several weeks at a time that way students that miss can get caught back up quickly, and so we can dissect a topic more fully than just a one night deal. Use the overview and questions for both you and your teen to answer and have a dialog that continues outside the church walls and into your homes.  Use this opportunity to see what God is teaching your student and also allow your student to see what God is teaching/taught you.

This Week at Collision

Series Overview

With this series we are putting the students in the driver's seat and allowing them to directly choose the next week's topic.  Students can vote for their preferred topic by using our "Full Circle App" or by going to the webpage linked to the QR code below.  Voting goes until Mondays at noon, then that next Wednesday the wining topic will be the nights lesson and discussion.  The topics are all the hard topics facing our culture today; from gay marriage, divorce, being single to end times and love.

Week 2 (2015-01-14)

Tonight, everyone picked a good one...Biblical Contradiction.  As much as the religious folk would love to just answer with "God said so I believe it" or "there aint none", the rest of the world does not buy that logic for a minute.  Tonight, the goal was to offer a tip of the hat, or a nod of the head to the idea of contradiction, but ultimately refute the claim that the Bible is inaccurate or in error. The truth about so many of the "contradictions" is that they are related to sloppy research, loose context or just plain poor interpretation.  Regardless, we'll take a look at all of it to gleam some truth out of it all and, hopefully, better equip your teen to encounter those in the world that hide behind this flawed way of thinking.

Intentional Interaction

Tonight, ask your teen if they have ever wondered about the Bible's accuracy?
Do they know friends that feel this way?
What did they learn tonight that may change they way they feel about their faith?
What did/will they vote for us to cover for next week?
